I joined my first workout as a dare when I was 16! That was it I caught the bug! I started assisting at sessions, and helping out DJ’ing and demoing on stage! I qualified whilst at university reading Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Teaching classes helped me out as a student giving me the ‘time out’ I needed whilst completing my degree.
I worked at the BBC for a year after I graduated, still teaching and
helping at classes when I got my first helping hand by Graeme, Hughie & Jane who gave me the encouragement and belief to start up my own company. Freestyle would not be here if it was not for the help of family and friends especially Judy, Mark & Jax in those early days! The fantastic 4! I have never looked back.
Our ‘Freestyle Family’ of instructors, team, and most of all loyal customers has grown over the years, It’s not just a group exercise class we all take part in, its a fun part of our lives! I qualified in Pump, Aquatic exercise, Anti and post natal workshops, GP referral, Massage Therapy, and Reiki & numerous fitness conventions. Freestyle have lead many mass warm ups for Race for life, Run for Moore, Cycle for life, which is important to me as I lost my mum to cancer, I feel it’s my way of helping out the way I can.
